Welcome students back to school with this engaging, team building animated and interactive smart board quiz—a perfect activity for the first day or week back to school. This ice breaker is designed to foster community and highlight the effectiveness of teamwork, all while providing an enjoyable experience for everyone. It is also great fun with which to end the year! Quiz Structure and Objectives The quiz is crafted to immerse students in the dynamics of teamwork. Participants will have opportunities to both collaborate as a team and contribute as individuals, emphasising the importance of both roles. Some rounds are team-based, where each group discusses and submits a single answer. In other rounds, individual students have the chance to answer independently and earn points for their team. The PowerPoint clearly outlines the rules and instructions at the start of each round. The answer to each question must be decided by the whole team. If a wrong answer is given, the next question goes to the first hand up and, if correct, that person’s team get to try the rest of the round. Each team will also have to solve the clues to identify a well - known phrase or saying. There are four lightning rounds in which team members consult to try to identify a slowly revealed person or landmark. Memory Test – questions on the order and detail of eleven objects which cross the screen then disappear. **Individual Rounds – first hand up in the class gets to answer ** Four unscramble and identify rounds which consists of a picture which has been cut up and rearranged. Memory Test – give starting and finishing coordinates of fish which have moved around a pond. Finally, the nineteen - question individual bonus round. This round allows flexibility in terms of the time the quiz takes as not all the questions have to be attempted. The quiz therefore can last between 40 and 50 minutes.
